Diagnostic Tests

Sunrise Edition

Diagnostic tests for Language Arts and Math are used to place students in CLE curriculum. We recommend testing below grade level. Tests 100-400 are for students in Grades 1-5. Tests 500-800 are for students in Grades 6-9. Because new Sunrise editions continue to be developed, it is important to use current tests.

Teacher's Manuals are necessary for testing. Contains directions for administering the test and scoring the test for placement.

Math Skill Development Worksheets

These sheets can help bridge any gaps for students transferring from another math curriculum. They can also be used as remedial work for the student who needs to refresh concepts missed in previous levels. The three workbooks cover math skills that typically give the most problem for slower students or those new to CLE Sunrise Math. 

Each workbook is divided into sections teaching specific concepts in incremental steps. Practice work is provided for each step to help students grasp the new concept before moving on to the next one.

Language Arts Spelling CDs

In the old Language Arts curriculum, CLE provided spelling tests on cassette tapes that students could listen to and take their spelling tests. However, recorded spelling tests have not been available for Sunrise Language Arts.

A teacher using CLE Language Arts has developed a set of recorded spelling quizzes and tests for Language Arts Levels 300-800, and CLE is making these available. They are mp3 files, not audio CDs, so either a computer or an mp3 player is required.

These discs will not play in a standard CD player.
